Take
a virtual tour of one of the most beautiful and challenging golf
courses in the state. This course was designed by the English
architect, Desmond Muirhead. The course was opened in 1970 and
it is built on 122 acres. It was one of the first designs to incorporate
a golf course within a residential community. One of the main
features of the course is the large undulating greens, many with
false fronts, approached from fairways that are surrounded by
the homes and much of the original foliage of the land. The course
is perhaps one of the tightest in the state but offers a challenge
to all levels of players. There are 23 well placed sand traps
on the course and water is in play on 8 holes. The greens are
“bent grass”. The “par” for the course
is 72.
