Meticulously laid out by renowned architect Desmond Muirhead, Farmington Woods is an 18-hole Championship course that provides an exciting, fair and enjoyable golf experience for its members and their guests.

Muirhead is remembered for his fully integrated course communities like McCormick Ranch in Scottsdale; the graceful artistry of the Dinah Shore Tournament Course at Mission Hills near Palm Springs and his six-year partnership with Jack Nicklaus, which produced Muirfield Village in Ohio.
 
At Farmington Woods, Muirhead designed the first three holes as a relatively straightforward warm-up for holes four through nine, which are among the most challenging in the Farmington Valley area.  The back nine holes were designed for a tournament finish, giving the edge to the golfer making the most skillful approach shots.
